Welcome to Peru. Settle into your Miraflores hotel, then join us for a memorable welcome dinner at one of Lima's top cevicherías. Stroll the Miraflores district as the Pacific sun sets over the cliffs.

2

Lima — Culture & Cuisine

Lima

Explore the world-renowned Larco Museum and its pre-Columbian collection, then wander through the bohemian quarter of Barranco with its street art and colonial charm. Finish the day with a hands-on Peruvian cooking class.

3

Fly to Cusco

Cusco

A short morning flight over the Andes brings you to the ancient Inca capital. Take the afternoon to acclimatise at altitude, visit the vibrant San Pedro Market, and enjoy a gentle walking tour around the magnificent Plaza de Armas.

4

Sacred Valley — Ruins & Markets

Sacred Valley

Descend into the Sacred Valley to explore the Pisac ruins perched high above the valley floor, browse the famous Pisac market, marvel at the fortress of Ollantaytambo, and visit the extraordinary circular Moray agricultural terraces.

5

Sacred Valley — Salt & Traditions

Urubamba

Visit the stunning Maras salt mines — thousands of evaporation pools cascading down the mountainside. Meet a local weaving community to learn about traditional Andean textiles. Overnight in the charming town of Urubamba.

6

Train to Aguas Calientes

Aguas Calientes

Board the scenic railway that winds along the Urubamba River through lush cloud forest to the gateway town of Aguas Calientes. Spend the afternoon exploring the mountain village and relaxing in the natural hot springs.

7

Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu

Rise before dawn for the magical sunrise entry to Machu Picchu. Your expert guide reveals the history and mysteries of the Lost City of the Incas. Optional hike up Huayna Picchu for breathtaking panoramic views. Return to Cusco by train.

8

Cusco — Ancient & Artisan

Cusco

Discover Cusco's rich heritage with visits to the imposing fortress of Sacsayhuamán, the Inca sun temple of Q'oricancha, and the city's artisan workshops where traditional crafts are still practised.

9

Lake Titicaca & Puno

Puno / Lake Titicaca

Fly to Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca, the world's highest navigable lake. Visit the remarkable floating Uros islands, then continue to Taquile Island. Optional Amantaní homestay with a local family.

10

Cross to Copacabana, Bolivia

Copacabana, Bolivia

Cross the border into Bolivia and arrive at the lakeside town of Copacabana. Enjoy a scenic boat trip on the Bolivian side of Lake Titicaca and visit the beautiful Basilica of Our Lady of Copacabana, one of Latin America's most important pilgrimage sites.

11

Isla del Sol

Isla del Sol

Sail to the Island of the Sun — birthplace of the Inca creation myth. Hike ancient Inca trails along the island's spine, visit the Pilkokaina ruins, and soak in views of the snow-capped Cordillera Real. Overnight at a peaceful lakeside lodge.

12

Fly to Uyuni — Salar de Uyuni

Salar de Uyuni

Fly to Uyuni and drive out onto the world's largest salt flat — 10,000 square kilometres of blinding white hexagonal tiles stretching to the horizon. Visit Isla Incahuasi, a rocky outcrop covered with giant ancient cacti rising from the salt, and watch the sunset paint the flats in impossible colours.

13

Southwest Circuit

Eduardo Avaroa Reserve

Venture into the Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve. A landscape of surreal beauty awaits: coloured lagoons tinted red, green, and turquoise by minerals; flocks of James's flamingos; bubbling geysers at Sol de Mañana; and wind-sculpted rock formations.
